Wrong Online Balance in Checking Account

For some reason, Quicken is getting the wrong Online Balance for my Rabo Bank checking account. That makes automatic reconcilliation impossible of course. When I check my current Online Balance on my bank's website it is accurate. Once I download transactions, Quicken reports an online balance that is $400 higher than what the bank's website is reporting. I am talking about the current "real time" balance not the balance that could be different because of debits that are recorded in the account but not yet cleared. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.
Search on "pending transactions" in this forum.Your answer should be there.
The problems are probably with your bank.Quicken only imports what the bank sends in the download. How are you downloading the information? If you are using Web Connect by logging into your FI to download the QFX file and launch the Quicken launcher, then you can easily establish where the problem is.>>A) Download and save the QFX file to your desktop instead of using the Quicken Launcher.B) Open the file in Notepad and look near the end of the file for <LEDGERBAL> and <AVAILBAL>.If those amounts are the wrong amounts, then it's the bank that's providing incorrect information. If those amounts are correct, then the problem is Quicken's.
Dennis B .  Thank you. Thank you.  I've had this problem for 1 1/2 years and you are the first to actually be helpful.  My bank account is currently balanced, etc so we will look at it next week when we download AND the next time it is out of balance.Second, now two of my credit card accounts are doing the same thing.  Do you have a suggestion for them?  Thanks again.

Thanks againb If you are using Direct Connect, then this will not work since there's no easy to read file that you can save and examine.>>When you log into your bank or Credit Card company's web site, select the option to save the provided QFX file and select your desktop as the location to save the file.Don't use the Quicken Launcher option.Import the data into Quicken (File > Import > Web Connect Data) and if it is not correct then you can easily examine the data contained in the file using Windows Notepad.>>I believe most if not all of these problems are the result of the FIs providing bad data.I don't believe Quicken does any manipulation of the data. I believe Quicken simply reads the data the FI has provided.>>Of course, if questioned, the bank or Credit Card company always blames Quicken...

I have the exact same problem. I have had the same problem for 1 1/2 years and now I have the problem on 3 accounts.   Have you found a solution???
