Quicken wiil not download Paypal transactions

I am using Quicken 2011 for Windows.  Beginning Feb 2nd, and since then (5 days in a row). I have done the One Step Update. In each case I get back
 "1 account  updated SUCCESSFULLY.
 No New Transactions downloaded,
 No Transactions to review,
Online Balance $75.78 as of 3/1/2012"
-- However, when logging into PayPal site I have 11 transactions and $400+ waiting to be delivered to Quicken.   What's up with the 3/1/2012 date received each time I run One Step Update  and why no transactions?

Do you get transactions if you use the Account Actions > Update Now from the top of the account register? - I'm checking to see if this is a download issue or an aggregation issue.  Thanks.

Account Actions > Update Now worked - thank you
      • i am experience same issue:

Beginning on Aug. 4th the Quicken Update stopped working properly after having synced perfectly for many months.

It began when during the Paypal/Quicken Sync sequence; at the very end Quicken 2012 Home & Business vaporizes, just disappears.

So i tried doing update with Account Actions and it still vaporized.

I then deactivated Paypal online and reactivated Paypal Sync Online.

Quicken will now update without vaporizing Quicken.  Even though the "1 account updated SUCCESSFULLY." appears at end of Update...  the following issue remains:

The Quicken ledger shows a $0 balance online.  I know that Paypal account online has over $300...  So even though quicken says it is updated it really isn't.

        Thank you for your help.

How do i Fix this so i sync successfully again?
      • Quicken 2011 Premier (quicken user for over 17 years)
I too have an issue with PayPal not updating.

After the PayPal update working for over a year the update just stopped...  the last cleared transaction I have is from 5/1/12 and since then I have not been able to DL anything from PayPal.  All my other accounts with Schwab, Bank of America and another bank work just fine.

I have changed the Password three times on both PayPal and Quicken making it both shorter and longer  and still no joy.
at the end of the update I get one of two errors from Quicken: Each "first attempt" after starting Quicken 2011 gives me a Password Incorrect notification but then all further attempts get a message stating "Quicken can't update these accounts because of an error on the Quicken server  [CC-501] No transactions to review. Online Balance $0.00 as of 5/9/2012" and of course I have many transactions since then.

can anyone help me out here?
        THANKS!!!

      • is anyone from quicken paying attention to this thread? After working for many months as of Aug 4th, which i was told by quicken was when they updated their system... UPDATING IS BROKEN. I use Quicken Home Bus 2012 latest version. What happens at end of update Quicken just vaporizes and disappears. HELP. Paypal Tech is clueless and blaming Quicken
      • Will someone please respon!!!!

Beginning on Aug. 4th the Quicken Update stopped working properly after having synced perfectly for many months. This is using Web Express Connect with Paypal.  It had been working fine for about a year with no issues

This problem that acually causes Quicken to Disappear at the final stage of Web Express Update Sequence.  At the very end Quicken 2012 Home & Business vaporizes, just disappears.

So i tried doing update with Account Actions and it still vaporized.

I then deactivated Paypal online and reactivated Paypal Sync Online.

Still Vaporizes after handshaking and authorizing than at the end of the data download it saves nothing and the Quicken Program disappears.  When reloaded it has no record of Update sync.

        Thank you for your help.

      Contribute an answer

People come to Quicken Community for help and answers—we want to let them know that we're here to listen and share our knowledge. We do that with the style and format of our responses. Here are five guidelines:

      1. Keep it conversational. When answering questions, write like you speak. Imagine you're explaining something to a trusted friend, using simple, everyday language. Avoid jargon and technical terms when possible. When no other word will do, explain technical terms in plain English.
      2. Be clear and state the answer right up front. Ask yourself what specific information the person really needs and then provide it. Stick to the topic and avoid unnecessary details. Break information down into a numbered or bulleted list and highlight the most important details in bold.
      3. Be concise. Aim for no more than two short sentences in a paragraph, and try to keep paragraphs to two lines. A wall of text can look intimidating and many won't read it, so break it up. It's okay to link to other resources for more details, but avoid giving answers that contain little more than a link.
      4. Be a good listener. When people post very general questions, take a second to try to understand what they're really looking for. Then, provide a response that guides them to the best possible outcome.
      5. Be encouraging and positive. Look for ways to eliminate uncertainty by anticipating people's concerns. Make it apparent that we really like helping them achieve positive outcomes.
